One of these parts is the molecule we call CBD. When isolated using this process, the resulting pure CBD is a solid white powder much like sugar.

What is Full Spectrum hemp extract and how is it made?

Our Full Spectrum hemp extract is made using safe carbon dioxide, and some heat and pressure to separate the plant waxes from the hemp extract. This clean, simple process is completed by our licensed hemp processing partner in Elkton, Virginia.

Science

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabis compound that is 1 of more than 100 cannabinoids produced by Cannabis sativa and other plants. Research has shown that CBD interacts with endocannabinoid receptors in our body and could therefore be involved in many processes.

What is CBG?

Cannabigerol (CBG) is another cannabis compound that is 1 of more than 100 cannabinoids produced by Cannabis sativa and other plants. Interestingly most cannabis or hemp plants produce CBG in the form of a transient precursor to CBD and THC. In some plants, however, the biosynthesis stops at CBG. Research on CBG has shown that this molecule can interact with the same endocannabinoid receptors as CBD, and could therefore be involved in many processes.

What are terpenes? Are they important?

Terpenes are equally if not more important than cannabinoids. Terpenes alone have an array of potent effects and benefits. New research also suggests terpenes play a major role in determining how a cannabis product effects your mood and energy, resulting in the common classifications of indica, sativa, or hybrid.
